If you are truly pregnant, then you should discontinue use of the drops. It will not hurt your baby, but your own body is generating excess amount of HCG on its own. You should discontinue the low calorie diet as well and follow your doctor’s recommendations

I wanted to know what I should do if I tested your product with a pregnancy test and it came up negative. I was told that this was a good test to see if there was any HCG in it. My two tests were negative.

All homeopathic HCG products out on the market will always test negative. The succession process used in its manufacture is a process of mapping and dilution, so that you get the benefits without the side effects.

Getting ready for my “time of the month” would this be part of the issue? Also do I continue the drops during this time? I have read both…

Your TOM will have an impact on your weight loss. Most women hold steady during that time and in some instances they gain…. but it all drops again at the end of the cycle. With homeopathic drops you do not need to stop taking them. You may experience a little heavier cycle, but that is normal while on the drops. Good luck and keep up the good work.

How long do the drops stay in your system? I have not started my period and there is no reason to not start. Has anyone experienced this?

The drops will be expelled from your system within 72 hours from your last dose. As far your period is concerned, in most women, it can cause a heavier period than normal. We have never encountered someone missing their period as a result of using HCG

What is the HCG Diet?

Dr. A.T.W. Simeons, a doctor from Italian clinic, introduced this program to the world in 1950′s. The program utilizes a natural hormone that is produced during pregnancy called Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). Dr. Simeons’ theory is that HCG causes the hypothalamus area of the brain to trigger a release of abnormal fat stores. That later was supported by research and now any medical student knows that hypothalamus is responsible for a lot of regulating in our brain, and also is responsible for hunger and food intake.

If function of your hypothalamus is desoriented, if it set on some other weight, not your ideal and does not get communication from your stomach that it is full; you will overeat, and will overeat sweets and carbs, because these are adictive substances and these substances release chemicals of satisfaction to our brain. That’s why it is so easy to overeat when you are upset!

Do I have to exercise while on the HCG diet?

No, exersize is not recommended because it will make you hungry. If there was something you were already doing and it is a part of your regiment, please, keep doing. If you decided to start everything over and get a healthy lifestyle, use HCG drops first to reach your ideal weight, then you can start exercise during maintenance. Although 30 min walks and 10-15 min yoga are beneficial to anyone who is on diet or not

Why can’t I just go on a 500 calorie diet without the HCG?

Dr. Simeons identified three separate fat stores:

1.Normal fat: This type of fat can be likened to a checking account from which the body can easily draw energy or deposit it as needed. Normal fat doesn’t take a lot of effort to lose.

2.Structural fat: Pads the various organs, protects the arteries and cushions the bony prominences. You don’t ever want to lose this fat. It is vital to your health and well being. Yet, on the typical “starvation” diet, this is the fat you lose when the normal fat is depleted.

3.Abnormal fat: This is much like a bank safe deposit box, where fat is stored and basically locked away. This fat is very difficult to lose via exercise and calorie restriction, but with the help of HCG the body readily pulls fat from these “last resort” fat stores.

Bottom line: If you go on a 500-calorie diet without HCG, the body uses the normal fat and then starts to use the structural fat and muscle. Losing your structural fat and muscle tissue can adversely affect your health and well-being. In addition, “starvation” diets without HCG can cause you to be excessively hungry, which is typically not true for those using HCG drops on Dr. Simeons’ special 500-calorie schedule. This is not just a VLCD (very-low-calorie-diet)

How does HCG help me lose weight?

HCG appears to act on the hypothalamus, signaling the body to release stored fat into the bloodstream where it is then available to be used by the cells for nourishment. This alone will not cause weight loss, though, unless you reduce your food intake. This forces the body to use the mobilized fat from the bloodstream. HCG causes the release of abnormal fat without affecting structural fat and muscle tissue. Which means you lose in those stubborn areas–hips, thighs, buttocks and upper arms!

What does hCG do?

One point of the hormone is to protect your bones and muscles from depleting if you do not have access to a healthy diet during pregnancy, like for women in 3rd world countries. Obviously if you are pregnant, you should not be dieting, so there is no reason to take the hormone. When you are not pregnant, introducing the hormone into your body allows you to consume a really low amount of calories for a short period of time. The hormone protects your bones and muscles and you burn through your excess fat stores very quickly for the energy your body needs. This diet is not intended to be long use for that purpose. And only people who have more than 20 lbs to lose should use the diet
